Russ & Sonia started their sausage-making journey in 1994, right in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, with one goal in mind: crafting sausages that were natural, packed with flavor, and free from fillers. What began with traditional German pork sausages quickly evolved when they saw people craved healthier, nutritious options that didn’t compromise on taste.
They got to work—experimenting boldly with poultry, fresh vegetables, fruits, and vibrant spices, even adding splashes of wine to perfect their recipes. Guided by feedback from family, friends, and neighbors, they found that when you start with fresh, high-quality ingredients, the flavor speaks for itself.
As young parents, Russ & Sonia knew the struggle of balancing convenience with quality. That’s why they created fully cooked sausages—wholesome, delicious, and easy to prepare, all without breaking the grocery budget. In 1998, they moved to sunny Central California, expanding their poultry line and doubling down on their commitment to all-natural ingredients. Even their pork sausages got an upgrade—leaner, cleaner, and smoked over real hardwood chips without unnecessary additives or excess nitrites.
